Junior Boys Basketball Update

The past two months have been very busy for the Junior boys basketball team. The team completed play in the APD City Tournament in mid December and opened up 2015 by hosting it’s own 10 team tournament in which the boys lost in the final game.

The team also competed in the 16 team North Shore Invitational, finishing 6th, and just recently lost in the final of the GW Graham Grizzlies tournament. The return of Brett Bass and Bradley Braich to the line-up has helped the team push it’s league record to a very respectable 9-4 mark.

The Lions will open up the league playoffs on February 11th with the hopes a grabbing a spot in the Fraser Valley Championships. The boys are working hard and have been playing solid basketball the past few weeks. Well done players, Coach Braich and Coach Klein

Junior Girls Basketball Update

Heading into the playoffs the Junior girls finished league play with a solid 8 wins 3 loss record.

In tournament play the girls have gone 9 wins compared to 4 losses and the girls did a great job winning the Maple Ridge Tournament.

This very young team has lots of talent and with hard work and dedication will continue to improve.

Key contributors have been Sapna Deo, Madison Draayers and Sarah Thiessen.
