From Yale Secondary. The Girls rugby team competed in the BC 7’s tournament on Friday and Saturday at UBC. The girls played 3 games Friday and won all of them. On Saturday GP Vanier defeated them, putting the girls in contention for the Plate. The final match was against Elgin Park.
Sydney Stoltz opened up the scoring with two trys followed by Chrissa Perez, Shalaya Vananzuela and Mackenzie Carson scoring a try and 2 converts, the girls defeated Elgin 29-15 bringing home the Plate.
Players of the match were Alex Motoc, Sydney Stolz, Sophia DeGianni and Mackenzie Carson. Honorable mentions go out to Emily Pollastretti, Shalaya Valenzuela, Emily Norrie, Sarah Klok and Chrissa Perez, way to go girls!
