From Yale Athletics. Unfortunately, the junior girls played their final game of the season Sunday, losing to Langley Christian 49-33. For a group of all grade 9s, they had a terrific season with lots to build on for next year. The Sr girls won big, 69-44 over Fox and faced #1 Brookswood Monday at 7:45 in Brookswood. The junior boys also started their playoffs with a win, topping Delta 62-52. They move to round two on Wednesday when they play Lord Tweedsmuir.
All 4 Yale Bball Teams Moving Into Valleys (Feb. 17, 2013)
League play is complete and all of Yale’s teams are moving forward. The senior boys, after dropping the East final to W. Grove, get the #3 seed in the Valley and will host the first 3 rounds of the tournament with the teams in their bracket. Their first game is against Port Moody in a single elimination contest this Wednesday, 8:00 pm at Yale.
The varsity girls grabbed the #8 seed and faced #9 Terry Fox Monday Monday, 7:45 at Brookswood. The junior boys and girls were in action Monday night. The boys, seeded 9th, take on #24 Delta at 6:00 at Tweedsmuir and the girls, seeded 10th face #23 Langley Christian at 6:00 at Earl Marriott. Both junior games are single elimination.
