From the Cardinals. The Senior Cardinals opened the season at Queens Park in Vancouver to take on the Vancouver Cannons on April 6. Game 1one saw Emilio Foden taking the mound with a strong start. Emilio went four innings on 78 pitches with 3K. Jordan Dobos closed off the game with 22 pitches for the 8-3 Win.
At the plate Salter, Walker, Williams and Braun led the way. As the team combined for eight runs on four hits, five RBI’s, 12 walks and five K’s.
Game two saw Daniel Koo go six and 2/3 on 94 pitches with one BB and 6K for the 3-2 win. Kurtis Kostuk came in for the save.
The Bats of Stother, Kostuk, Foden annd VanEe manufactured the the offence for an opening day sweep.
