Submitted. Yesterday, members of the Abbotsford Police Traffic and Patrol Units were kept busy dealing with eleven impaired drivers. Throughout the day and evening, officers came in contact with a variety of impaired drivers at different levels of intoxication.
As a result of these vehicle stops, the eleven drivers were all issued driving suspensions under the Immediate Roadside Prohibition (IRP) program in BC. The drivers received suspensions which varied from three, seven, and ninety day suspensions.
With the holiday season just around the corner, drivers are being reminded to make responsible choices each and every time they enter into the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Each year, Operation Red Nose provides a safe ride home during the holiday season. Drivers are encouraged to visit their website for further details in taking advantage of getting home safely.
