UFV To Mark 40th Anniversary With Events April 2 And 4

By Anne Russell. The University of the Fraser Valley is turning 40 in April. Fraser Valley College was proclaimed into existence by provincial education minister Eileen Dailly on April 4, 1974.

Since then it has grown from a college without walls, to a degree-granting university college, to a modern multi-campus university. The Fraser Valley community has supported UFV’s development in many ways over the four decades of its existence. To recognize the founding of Fraser Valley College in 1974, UFV is hosting several events in the first week of April. The public is welcome and admission is free to these events.
