From Abbotsford Baseball. In the Peewee AA Spring Playoffs, Abby Black clings to their playoff lives.
After falling on Thursday night to 1 win & 2 losses after a defeat in Cloverdale, the team faces a must win situation against Burnaby at Berry Park tomorrow.
They will also need some help from Cloverdale against White Rock or even a win for Abbotsford will not be enough.
But there is still hope for an Angels team to make it to the semis. Go Abby!
Meanwhile, the Abby Red playoff hopes came to a disappointing and abrupt end last night at Berry Park.
After displaying such promise in their previous win against Aldergrove, the boys were not ready for the storm that hit as Vancouver Community blasted their way to a 10-0 lead.
The boys were able to crawl back into it and made a late rally to draw within 3, but it was not enough. Now 1 & 2, even a win in Chilliwack tomorrow will not earn the squad a place in the semifinals. It was a disappointing end to a very enjoyable spring season.
Hopefully the boys go out tomorrow ready to finish the spring season on a high note with a solid effort and one more win.
