By Abnor. Re: Mayor will take propane cannon issue to minister
The Abbotsford News reported Wednesday that Mayor Banman is ashamed of Abbotsford councillors for not compromising on the propane cannon issue.
If he was so ashamed of councillors for voting their consciences and producing a split vote on the issue, why didn’t he show some courage and break the tie. It is, after all, his job.
He’s been criticized for voting on issues when he has no place doing so except in a tie vote. Now that his vote is required he backs down?
It’s one thing to avoid your responsibility. It’s quite another to blame those who had the courage to vote for living up to theirs.
