No Midget A3 Team This Year
At the AMHA Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 12, it was decided that AMHA will be hosting two Midget Rep teams for the 2014/15 season. This decision was made based on the low number of players registered for Tryouts.
Should you decide to withdraw from Tryouts based on this decision, AMHA will offer a full refund of your Tryout fee. Your requested must be submitted in writing (email) to amha@shaw.ca prior to August 27, 2014.

Abbotsford Annonces New Ref-in-Chief Shawn McCaskill

It is with great pleasure that on behalf on Abbotsford Minor Hockey I announce the appointment of Shawn McCaskill as our new RIC.

Shawn brings a tremendous amount of experience to the position, having been a carded ref for over 25 years. The following is a snap shot of some of his accomplishments. He has officiated at all levels of minor hockey. From 1992 to 1996, Shawn lined and refed in the PIJHL in the lower mainland. From 1996 to 2002 Shawn was a referee in the BC Junior league. From 2002 to 2010, Shawn stepped up as a BC Hockey supervisor for junior A/B. In 2009/2010 Shawn was the RIC with Kamloops Minor Hockey. And in 2010 he represented BC at the Hockey Canada seminar to re-write the Officiating Procedures Manual.

Having taken a few years off to spend more time with his family, he returns to the rink with a ton of passion for mentoring and developing refs in Abbotsford. We are excited to have Shawn and his wealth of experience and knowledge.

Thank you
Trevor Bamford, president
Abbotsford Minor Hockey
