By Win Wachsmann. Once again the skies over Abbotsford will thunder with the sounds of antique warbirds as well as Canadian Forces planes.
The ever present Snowbirds and the CF-18 hornet demo highlight this year’s event.
The Smoke and Thunder Jetcar with its 10,000 HP Westinghouse jet engine from Castle, Washington will light up the main runway and show the crowd how fast a “car” can go.
For those whose tastes are toward the quieter elements, the show features the Skyhawks – the Canadian Forces Parachute Team and Manfred Radius in his whispering sailplane that does some amazing maneuvers.
Vintage planes of all shapes and sizes will be on static display.
