December 27, 2013 – This afternoon an 18 year old man was arrested by Abbotsford Police in relation to this incident. The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department would like to thank the numerous members of the public who contacted police with tips and information. The investigation highlighted the effectiveness of media and social media exposure as a public safety tool.
December 24, 2013 – Sexual Assault At South Fraser Way Business
Last night at 8:00 pm, a man entered a veterinary clinic in the 32100 block of South Fraser Way. He engaged the lone female employee in some conversation and began moving closer to her and the service counter.
He then suddenly moved behind the counter and grabbed and groped the 26-year-old woman.
She was able to break free and she yelled at the suspect who quickly fled from the store. The victim called police.
The suspect is described as a South Asian man in his 20’s, standing approximately 6’0” tall with a slim build. The man has dark hair and sideburns.
He was wearing a red jacket with white stripes, black track pants, a light green shirt and white running shoes (see security video still images below).
