In honour of International Women’s Day, the Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) of Abbotsford will celebrate the achievements of professional women from around the world at their March luncheon, to be held on March 13, 2013, at Cascade Community Church. Four newcomers to Canada will discuss their journeys into the Canadian way of life, labour market and workplace culture as well as their plans for the future.
The guest speakers include Annie Charker, specialized behaviour education teacher from England; Oliya Shamirzaeva, accountant from Uzbekistan and former number one ranked junior tennis champ; Rajinder Kaur Randhawa, teacher from India; and Gail Gromaski, communications and non-profit management professional from the United States. All of the women are participants or graduates of the Employment Mentors’ Program provided by Abbotsford Community Services.
