Submitted. Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union, has announced the winners in their 2016 Fan Choice Awards. The awards, in recognition of Small Business Month, triggered an outpouring of support for local small businesses, as hundreds of votes were cast in four categories via social media. From Oct. 4 ? Nov. 7, voters rallied behind their favourite restaurants, retail stores, hair salons and more.

“We’re overwhelmed with the positive responses we received from voters in the Fan Choice Awards,” says Norm Attridge, assistant vice-president of small business banking at Envision Financial. “While it’s no secret that small business is the backbone of B.C.’s economy?accounting for over 93 per cent of jobs in the private sector?it’s inspiring to see so many community members advocate for small businesses. Our team of business banking advisors work diligently to help local, hardworking entrepreneurs achieve their goals, and it’s a pleasure to recognize them for their accomplishments.”
In its second year, the Fan Choice Awards applaud small- to medium-sized businesses located in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley that provide a product or service that is second-to-none. Winning businesses are determined based on popular vote by community members. This year’s winners will receive a plaque and decal for their storefront?and major bragging rights.
Among the winning businesses is Craftsman Collison, a family owned and operated auto body and collision repair provider in the Abbotsford community.
“What an exciting honour to be recognized in the Best Autobody Repair Shop or Dealership category in the Fan Choice Awards,” says Larry Nizio, Manager. “At Craftsman Collision, we’re dedicated to providing the very best service to our customers in the Abbotsford area, and we’re so thankful to the community for showing us such strong recognition and support.”
