Submitted. Fire Rescue Services will be opening up all eight community fire halls for public tours in honour of national Fire Prevention Week October 5– 11.
All of the City’s community Fire Halls will be opening their doors to the public. Residents are invited to drop-in, tour the halls, explore the trucks and see specialized firefighting and rescue equipment. Local firefighters will be available to answer questions, demonstrate equipment and ‘Sparky the Fire Dog’ will make a guest appearance at several of the Fire Halls.
Special activities are planned for kids and adults around fire prevention, fire safety and this years’ theme of smoke alarm preparation.
