Submitted. The Reach Gallery Museum is hosting the first annual Young Contemporaries Program fundraiser for arts and heritage enthusiasts of all ages. The much anticipated Diga Diga Doo event will be held at The Reach on Thursday, July 26 at 7pm and will celebrate the fashion, design and music of the 1920’s Art Deco era.
As part of this fantastic event, The Reach has organized a unique competition to challenge designers, stylists, tailors and general fashion enthusiasts. The Darb Garb Costume Challenge is divided into two categories: Fashion Designer – Best Design Category and Fashion Enthusiast – Best Costume Category. The first category is for those talented individuals who will design and produce their own attire, while the latter celebrates all guests that show their support by donning a 1920s-themed costume for the event.
“This is a wonderful way for fashion designers and enthusiasts to showcase their talent and creativity in a public forum”, says Cherlandra Estrada, Special Events and Marketing Coordinator for The Reach Gallery Museum.
Entry forms, official rules and contest guidelines are available on the signature event page of The Reach’s website: www.thereach.ca, or in person at The Reach Gallery Museum, 32388 Veterans Way, Abbotsford. Deadline for entry is July 11, 2014.
