Submitted. Global Spectrum, operator of the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre, announced today Florida Georgia Line’s Here’s To A Good Time Tour is the fastest selling show in the history of the building. Almost 6,000 tickets were sold in just under an hour for the April concert when it went on sale at 10 am Friday.
“We are grateful for the continuing enthusiasm and support of fans throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland for our events,” said Global Spectrum’s Jason Blumenfeld, General Manager at the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre. “Global Spectrum’s strong partnership with Invictus Entertainment Group and the AESC’s reputation within the industry for strong ticket sales has resulted in another successful show to Abbotsford. We are looking forward to continuing that growth in 2014.”
In Canada, Florida Georgia Line has been newly crowned the #1 Most Played Country Artist on radio in 2013, having launched three consecutive, multi-week #1 smashes including the Gold-certified “Round Here,” Platinum-selling “Get Your Shine On” and 6X Platinum “Cruise.” This year, they have made history breaking the record for the longest #1 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs Chart with their single “Cruise,” which has sold over 6.1 million downloads in the US alone and is the second best-selling Country single ever according to SoundScan. Florida Georgia Line is the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in having their first three singles hit #1 for multiple weeks each.
A few VIP Packages remain for the show and can be purchased online at www.abbotsfordcentre.ca. Promoters are reviewing the production with the potential of adding additional seats in the New Year. Florida Georgia Line perform April 9th with special guests Dallas Smith, from Langley, B.C., and Chris Lane.
