From CBC. The CBC Bearcats were sitting in 6th spot in the PACWEST heading into the weekend vs the College of the Rockies. With COTR sitting 6 points up on CBC, the Bearcats were hoping to close the gap and make a push for 5th spot. With two matches in hand, the task was obtainable. Jadon Ward, CBC’s 6’7” second year student-athlete played a huge role in their weekend results.
Ward had a phenomenal weekend, leading the Bearcats in their back-to-back victories over COTR. In a rare Thursday night match, Ward was a work horse tallying an impressive 25 kills (many against double blocks) in 4 sets and had 1 block and an ace.
On Friday afternoon, Ward continued his dominance recording 20 kills, 4 blocks, 1 ace, and 6 digs. Ward has worked extra hard all season as it is his first ever swinging from the outside. The move this weekend paid off big for him and the Bearcats as his 45 kills cemented him as one of the best in the PACWEST.For more on Columbia Bible College Athletics please use the link in our Sports Directory or simply click here.
