Jam in Jubilee is proud to report that festival attendance in July has increased week over week since beginning July 11th. Last Thursday, July 25th, saw over 825 people come down to Jubilee Park in Downtown Abbotsford. The festival continues for 3 more weeks through August until our finale on August 15th. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a true party in the park.
This Thursday, August 1st, boasts an all local Abbotsford bill including Trevor Blaak, Immaculate Mules and Casinos. The music starts at 7pm and continues until 10pm.
Thursday, August 1st
7pm – Trevor Blaak (Singer/Songwriter)
8pm – Immaculate Mules (Folk)
9pm – Casinos (Indie)
Trevor Blaak
Some could call Trevor Blaak a gentle blend of folk, indie, progressive rock, and a touch jazz. We can’t say that we quite know ourselves. The sound is in a constant shift. The idea originally began as a solo project. The songwriting has been a steady 3 years now, and all sorts of room for growth is being revealed. At first, I felt that the music had to be heard in the strangest of vicinities. Downtown alleyways, shy libraries, haunted homes, traveling vans, sketchy stairwells, city transit buses, dark forests, stormy seas, and the kitchen. With adventurous playing, I found spirit in a few others who are willing to accompany alongside. Although in the past, members would change all the time, our current band is really making themselves much more at home. The “”Before The Bloom”” EP has so far been the fist released recording. There was no legitimate band at that point in time, so I (Trevor) acted as a one man army for most of the tracks. So far the band consists of Rain Penner August on bass and cello, Ola Kado on violin, and Natalie Bates on Ukelele and piano. The creative energy is hardly tamable. There is a fire in our eyes for original music, and a deep desire to fulfill each and every song. All being creatures of the Fraser Valley, we are on our toes and hungry to play for anyone around the community. We’d love for you to hear us, and hope you treasure our sound as we do.

The Immaculate Mules
The Immaculate Mules, despite their multi-manifestations of the past, are still present with a full length album and an affinity with the old part of town. The last rats of the alley, Nathan de Jager and Paul Kaszonyi, have crafted a nest of folk, country, and blues in the sewers and spit of a town within a state of change. With a gutter of vocal, the bend of guitar, and a pocket of rhythm The Immaculate Mules present a sonic text of the past with the whispers of the present.Jam in Jubilee is Abbotsford’s premier arts and musical festival, organized and presented by the Atangard Community Project for the past 4 years. This vibrant committee of volunteers aims to cultivate community enthusiasm and appreciation for the local arts, including musical talent, artisan businesses, and performance acts. The festival endeavors to cultivate a sense of pride and joy in the downtown core of Abbotsford. Jam in Jubilee continues to provide this as a free event and purposes to create a festival that appeals to all ages. Throughout the summer, the festival features local hand-picked bands, an incredible artisan market open from 6 – 9 pm, a film-festival, beer garden, and more! Join us in celebrating Abbotsford’s talent and arts!
