The Honourable Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Minister of National Revenue, will be a keynote speaker for the upcoming Fraser Valley Economic Summit taking place on September 9, 2014 announced Mayor Bruce Banman.
“The City of Abbotsford is honoured that Minister Findlay is able to participate in our
regional summit,” said Mayor Banman. “It is important for our delegates to hear the
federal governments perspective on the unique economic opportunities and challenges
our region faces.”
Justin P. Goodrich, Chair of the FVES Organizing Committee stated, “I am very excited
that Minister Findlay has agreed to speak at this event; I have had the honour of hearing
Minister Findley speak on numerous occasions, and I have no doubt she will provide
great insight for delegates with respect to economic prosperity in the Valley.”
Minister Findlay will be joining other keynote speakers including Alvin Law, “Alvin’s Laws
of Life”, Ian Anderson, President, Kinder Morgan Canada, Dr. Mark Evered, President,
University of the Fraser Valley, and Melanie Reuter, Director of Research, Real Estate
Investment Network.
Additionally, the event will feature breakout sessions, a mini business showcase, and a
Mayors’ panel moderated by John Winter, President & CEO of the BC Chamber of
Commerce.
