Last time Sherril Guthrie offered hard copies of her Mayor & Council Performance Review at the Clearbrook Library the response was overwhelming.
As a result another date has been scheduled for Saturday February 2nd from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Guthrie first introduced her survey early in January and despite providing news releases to the chain owned newspapers, neither has decided to share the information with their readers.
Despite their lack of interest, Guthrie says reception been excellent to her attempts to add to the democratic deficit in Abbotsford by providing citizens with an opportunity to pass judgment on their politicians on a more regular basis that every three years during an election campaign.
Participation at the Library two weeks ago, according to Guhtrie, was excellent and the supply of hard copies for families to take home was gone by 3:00 pm.
Says Guthrie, “In the meantime, I’d like to encourage all Abbotsford residents and businesses to take the time to offer their input on the annual evaluation. Their opinion on how Abbotsford’s Mayor and Council performed for them in 2012 is important.
“Residents are also offering constructive comments and suggestions for improvement. These will be summarized in the findings, so please continue to offer your view and ideas.”
Guthrie launched the survey Wednesday January 9th and plans to release the results in February.
