Submitted. The Abbotsford International Airport Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of Parm Sidhu as the airport’s new General Manager, said Chair, Dave Holmberg today.
Sidhu is replacing previous General Manager, Mike Pastro who officially retires on April 30, 2015 after working at YXX since 1987 and serving as the General Manager for more than 9 years.
“We are very appreciative of the years of service that Mike provided to the airport,” said Holmberg. “We wish him nothing but the best for his retirement.”
“The City of Abbotsford would like to thank and acknowledge the contribution of Mike Pastro and we wish him every happiness with his retirement,” said Abbotsford Mayor, Henry Braun. “At the same time, we are very excited to welcome Parm into the position of GM and we look forward to working with him to take the airport to the next level in the years ahead.”
Sidhu has worked at the Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) for the past 15 years alongside Pastro as the Director of Airport Operations.
“We have every confidence in Parm’s ability to lead the YXX team,” said Holmberg. “I have personally known Parm for many years and look forward to the fresh perspective he brings with him into the role. We know there are many exciting opportunities ahead for YXX!”
Sidhu officially assumes the role of General Manager of the Abbotsford International Airport May 1, 2015.
