Deputy Chief of the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) Rick Lucy chose You Tube as the medium for his retirement announcement.
In his announcement Lucy thanks a number of people in and out of the APD and speaks at some length about his pride working for the citizens of Abbotsford over the years.

Lucy will be moving to Namibia to take a contract with a police department there as an advisor.
The video includes a long list of dignitaries and people Lucy has worked with talking about what a great guy he is and how much he will be missed when he goes to Namibia.
Lucy isd the second Deputy Chief to leave the APD in less than a year. Fprmer Deputy Len Goerke left last June to take a position as Chief Constable for the West Vancouver Police Department
