Born in the Wine Capital of British Columbia, but growing up in Chilliwack, Kim believes she was destined to develop a passion for wine.
Moving to Kelowna right after Graduation she stepped into her first wine tasting the very first day when Eric VonKrosik of Summerhill Estate Winery was sampling Cipes Brut Methode Champenoise at Earls On Top restaurant.
A sparkling fan ever since, Kim went on to run the wine shop for Summerhill when there was only a small spattering of wineries in British Columbia. Kim soaked up vineyard and winemaking knowledge as the winery was out of the owner’s garage so while she was selling wine out of one door, Eric was masterfully hand crafting his wine out of the other. Watching the success of Summerhill and assisting in building their new building, Kim left Kelowna to return to her hometown only to find there were almost no BC Wines available in Chilliwack.
Kim set out that day, 15 years ago to open a VQA BC Wine Store in Chilliwack, wanting to share her passion of BC Wines with everyone in her hometown. Tasting and touring wineries in Reims France and Napa and Sonoma and a WSET Level Two Graduate, Kim looks forward to pleasing your palate with her top picks!
