Abbotsford Police are investigating a shooting that has sent a man to hospital.
Last night at 10:15 p.m. Abbotsford Police responded to a report of shots fired near the corner of Gladwin Road and Downes Road. Witnesses reported seeing gunfire from one vehicle into another as both vehicles travelled east on Downes Road. Minutes later a man arrived at an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
The investigation has since identified two scenes where shots were fired. It is believed both scenes are connected to the same incident.
No one has been arrested and the motive for the shooting is unknown – it is not believed to be random. The 20-year-old victim, who is known to police, remains in hospital. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
Downes Road between Gladwin Road and Seldon Road will be closed for several hours.
