In our continuing efforts to meet the needs of our playing members and understanding the respective age & stages of development, please note that we have made several enhancements to the 24 week program.
In supporting the specific development needs of all players, the 2014 Academy program will be conducted with a ‘two-centre’ approach. For the game-related, on-field components, the Technical & Tactical sessions will be delivered at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School – Turf Field, while the Physical development component will be delivered at Rotary Stadium.
Players will alternate between the two venues each week, offering 12 dedicated and specific sessions on each of the Tech/Tact & Physical ‘pillars of development’. We will employ dedicated, specialized coaches for each of the respective sessions.
By introducing this approach, we feel that it will allow the players to benefit from specific, professionally focused & delivered sessions, which encompass the key areas of development.
All sessions within the GK Academy will be conducted at the Abby Snr Turf every week.
All training sessions within the Academy (inc GK) will be gender specific and as such Boys & Girls will train separately.
The cost of the 24wk Academy program will be $180…a per session cost of only $7.50!!!
For AMFSC players in the U17 & U18 age divisions, please note that we are offering the Physical development sessions of the Academy (7-8:15pm session only) on a drop-in basis – FREE!
