Special Prosecutor Appointed In Plecas Home Invasion

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that a special prosecutor has been appointed in the case of the four who were arrested in last Saturday’s home invasion at Ryan Plecas’ home.

[excerpt] The B.C. justice ministry has appointed a special prosecutor to oversee the case of four people charged after a home invasion last Saturday at the Abbotsford apartment of an MLA’s son.

Crown spokesman Neil MacKenzie said the decision was made to appoint lawyer Joe Doyle to review and oversee the prosecution of Armand Charles Belisle, Dylan Michel Majorel, Jakob Mosterd, and Samantha Dawn Patenaude in connection with the break and enter at the resident of Ryan Plecas on June 20.

The complainant is the son of MLA Darryl Plecas, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary to the Justice Minister.
