In a properly harumphish tone the Abbotsford News called for something to be done (not sure what) about the horrendous conditions at the homeless protest camp across from the Mennonite Central Committee’s new expensive headquarters on Gladys Avenue.
I posted a comment on the News’ website about the editorial but, dear me, they took it down.
For those who might be interested, this is what I said:
“There is absolutely nothing stopping the City, the MCC, the APD, individual kindhearted citizens, or even the Abbotsford News from making the lives of the homeless men and women at the camp a little better by helping clean up some of the garbage at the site or volunteering to help them in some other way. Other than food they are always in need of toilet paper and clean drinking water. It’s called community service. Thank you.”
