Submitted. The Loft Hair Studio & Beauty Bar just hosted their ‘Queen of Hearts’ fundraising event, the first of five community projects planned for 2014 as part of their commitment to giving back to the Abbotsford community.
Over 40 people came together for a night of pampering in support of the Abbotsford Regional Hospitals Cardiac Care Program. Major sponsors included Thrifty Foods, Mt. Lehman Winery, Landmark Realty, and Diamond Events & Decore Rentals.
The decision to give to the Cardiac Care Program is a cause that is “dear to our hearts,” says The Loft owner, Kelly Sansalone. This year, the ladies of The Loft have several community engagement projects planned, with the hope to respond to the practical needs in the area. “We believe we should give back to the community that gives to us!”
Winner of the Environmental Leadership Award in 2013, The Loft offers a wide range of professional hair, spa, and beauty services and is known for their green initiatives. Their commitment to environmentally friendly products and practices is truly inspiring — even the hair gets recycled! It’s true. Hair cut at The Loft is brought to local women’s correctional facilities and processed into oil booms for use by Canadian oil companies.
The Loft is also a proud purveyor of Éminence handmade organic skin care products. In addition to the ‘so-natural-you-could-eat-them’ ingredients, for each product purchased, Éminence will plant a tree. Carrying the highest quality of beauty products is another way The Loft serves their community with the highest standard of quality.
So, what’s next? Stay tuned for their next community engagement project and find out more about the beautiful things happening at The Loft.
Masquing March is in full-swing as the lovely ladies at The Loft inspire patrons to rediscover the importance of masquing by wearing Éminence face masques throughout the day. Drop by and see for yourself — walk-ins always welcome at 33821 South Fraser Way.
