Submitted. Global Spectrum, operators of the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre (AESC), have named Ticketmaster as the official ticket provider for the 6,700-seat sports and entertainment venue effective immediately, announced Abbotsford Mayor, Bruce Banman this morning.
“The City of Abbotsford has been working closely with Global Spectrum and the Abbotsford Heat reviewing the operating costs for the AESC, including those related to ticketing,” said Banman. “Ticketmaster, with their highly recognizable brand and proven customer service, will provide a positive boost for ticketing and attendance which will help to improve the bottom-line. We are proud to welcome Ticketmaster to the AESC!”
Ticketmaster outlets in the Abbotsford area include: Sevenoaks Shopping Centre in Abbotsford, Soccerplus in Chilliwack, and Willowbrook Mall in Langley.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring our innovative ticketing services to Abbotsford fans and look forward to working with Global Spectrum, the Abbotsford Heat and the City of Abbotsford,” said Patti-Anne Tarlton, Ticketmaster Canada.
“Ticketmaster is recognized as the industry leader in ticketing,” said AESC General Manager, Jason Blumenfeld. “Their brand and networking database provides customers with access to information on upcoming tours and events, special ticket offers, and exclusive pre-sales. We are thrilled to have them onboard.”

Perfect, even more surcharges!!!
More like, “Ticketmaster is recognized as the industry leader in ripping off the consumer”
Not sure how that’s going to benefit the Heat and an empty AESC?
Why don’t they sell the naming rights for the arena? It’s a ridiculous name to start with.
