By David Kent. The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades volleyball teams swept the COTR Avalanche in PACWEST action tonight at the Envision Athletic Centre. The women’s team improve to 11-0 with a 3-0 victory. The set scores were 25-15, 25-19 and 25-16.
“Tonight was a complete team performance. Carly (Barker) had a particularly strong game getting five aces with her new spin serve. It was a great opportunity to get everyone in the game and contribute,” said UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr.
The men’s team improve their PACWEST regular season record to 5-6, with a 3-1 victory over the COTR Avalanche. UFV is currently in a three-way tie for third place with CBC and Douglas. The set scores were 25-22, 18-25, 25-21 and 25-20.
