Statistics Canada is reporting that the unemployment rate in the Abbotsford-Mission CMA has steadied off at 7.0 percent with a slight decline in the number of people participating in the job market.
The Participation rate fell from 68.1 to 63.1 reflecting the number of people who have given up on the job market or stopped looking for other reasons.
The percent of the workforce unemployed in the Abbotsford-Mission CMA is still highest in BC and Western Canada:
