Submitted – Enjoy two upbeat concert features at Mill Lake (2387 Ware St.) on June 27: the versatile and true-to-their-name Innerwild from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the funky urban Even Keel from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Innerwild is ready to bring the wild outdoors with rocking, swinging, bluesing grooves. The five musicians all hail from the Fraser Valley, and the Abbotsford Arts Council has seen their mix of blues, R&B, swing, rockabilly, country, and classic rock before with the Envision Financial Coffee House Concert Series as well as at last year’s Mill Lake Cruise-in.
Then Even Keel is set to take the stage with a blend of freshly urban takes on both nostalgic and new hits. A full instrumental complement of guitar, flute, percussion, keyboard, and saxophone offer a dynamic canvas for the smooth, rich vocals of Melissa Mulder-Albertson.
The Concert in the Park on June 27 is also a Full Cupboard night. Please join us in reducing hunger in Abbotsford by bringing non-perishable food items or a cash donation with you. The Full Cupboard is an innovative community program designed to raise foods, funds, and awareness for local food banks in communities where Envision Financial operates. You can also donate online now at the thefullcupboard.ca.
The Envision Financial Coffee House Concert Series invites you to the park for Innerwild and Even Keel’s ear-pleasing, foot-tapping jams. For more information about the series, including the full concert schedule, please visit the Abbotsford Arts Council’s website at abbotsfordartscouncil.org.
