If the City is so concerned with the protesters in Jubilee Park due to the arrival of sub-zero temperatures, why are they taking away their shelter?
The Deputy City Manager admitted last week their have not been many complaints about the protesters. In fact, all evidence points to the fact they are taking better care of the park and keeping it cleaner than the City staff who are paid to do so.
It is difficult to understand the City’s statement that this has nothing to do with disrupting the peaceful protest of the homeless against the dangers to which the City and the APD have exposed them on the streets of Abbotsford.
It sounds a lot more like police chief Bob Rich’s disperse and displace strategy for helping rid the City of the homeless people (when the chicken feces preferred by the City and the Sally Ann doesn’t work)
