At last Monday’s Abbotsford Council meeting, Mayor Bruce Banamn honoured three Abbotsford citizens by inducting them into the Order of Abbotsford.
Laughie Bell, Dr. Elizabeth June Watt and Dennis Hill recieved the honour during the regular council meeting at the Matsqui Centenniel Auditorium..
Laughie Bell was recognized for his years of support of and involvement in minor hockey in Abbotsford, where he served as a volunteer for over three decades.
Dennis Hill received the award in recognition of his involvement with the Abbotsford Citizen’s Patrol.
Dr. Watt was honoured for her roles as medical director of the Women’s Health Centre and lead physician at the Abbotsford Youth Health Centre.
