Updated: Robbery At Restaurant On Whatcom Road

Submitted. The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department continues to investigate the robbery at the Subway restaurant in the 2000 block of Whatcom Road which took place at 10:20 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Some of the evidence gathered to this point includes security video from neighbouring businesses as well as from the Subway restaurant itself. Investigators are now releasing video footage of the suspect with the hope that someone will recognize him and contact police.

Submitted. On Sunday, November 10th at 10:20 pm, a male entered the Subway restaurant located in the 2000 block of Whatcom Road. The suspect approached an employee at the cash register, implied that he had a weapon and made a demand for cash. The male then fled from the restaurant once the cash was obtained. Neither of the restaurant employees were harmed, but both were shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20-30 years of age and approximately 5’11”. He was dressed in a thick grey plaid jacket with black stripes and a hood, grey undershirt, black baggy sweat pants, runners with white soles, and was wearing a purple baseball cap with a “Minnesota Vikings” logo on the front.
