Submitted. The Abbotsford Arts Council announces a request for proposals for original designs of handmade, three-dimensional sculptures to become the trophies awarded to the recipients of the 2015 Arty Awards. The trophies of the chosen designs will be presented to the winners at the 11th Annual Arty Awards celebration, to take place on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford.
Designs in all mediums including clay, wood, glass, copper and more will be accepted until January 2, 2015. Artists living in B.C.’s Fraser Valley region are invited to apply. All designs must incorporate “Arty,” the artistic doodle contained in the Abbotsford Arts Council’s logo.
The Arty Awards program is an initiative of the Abbotsford Arts Council to honour individuals of all ages who have achieved excellence in their art as well as arts advocates who have contributed significantly to the Abbotsford arts scene.
Proposal application forms and guidelines can be found on the Abbotsford Arts Council’s website or at the Kariton Art Gallery, located at 2387 Ware Street in Abbotsford.
