From Brian Gross, MFA, Co-Chair, Abbotsford Youth Health Centre. Through our partnership with the Abbotsford Division of Family Practice, the Abbotsford Youth Health Centre has a new, permanent main clinic at #103 1945 McCallum Road (across from the Wired Monk and next to People’s Drug Mart).
Our first clinic will be on Tuesday, July 9 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Many thanks to Fraser Health and the Abbotsford Regional Hospital for hosting us for more than a year as we arranged for a permanent location. Our last clinic at ARH will be on Tuesday, July 2 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
We ran a very busy clinic at Bakerview Centre for Learning all this school year and are glad to continue to be open on Thursdays at Bakerview’s Youth Hub (32633 Marshall Road – in the portable behind the main building) – open to all youth and young adults, age 12-24 starting on Thursday, July 11 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
We’re also delighted to say that starting in September the AYHC will expand for the first time from 2 to 3 days of operation per week (2 days at our new clinic on McCallum and one at Bakerview).
Stayed tuned for an announcement about our housewarming party later in July – where we will be thanking the incredible people and organizations that have made invaluable contributions to Abbotsford’s homegrown gold-standard youth-friendly primary health centre!
