Success over the past several years can be attributed to the expertise in coaching. Dave Chambers is a dedicated and experienced coach, with years of success under his belt with high school and rep teams alike. It is through his game plan that the women have developed the skills and confidence to play at a premier level.
To achieve the goal of playing at a higher level meant that creating depth had to be a significant goal for the ARFC women. The women have been fortunate enough to see girls coming up from the youth system and creating a warm a welcoming atmosphere at the club is paramount to creating a dedicated roster. With participation and commitment to the team being another driving force, the social element to the team is unparalleled with large groups enjoying the club room on Thursday nights, attending social events, and supporting our men’s sides.
With all cylinders firing, there is an air of excitement and passion for rugby in Abbotsford. Regardless of the final standing, this year is bound to bring success for the Premier Women’s side and Abbotsford Rugby Football club as a whole.
