Second Update: Tragic Ending To Search For Baljinder Sahota

23/07/13. On Monday, July 22 the body of Baljinder Sahota was recovered from the Fraser River. APD Major Crime detectives do not suspect foul play in Baljinder Sahota’s death. We wish to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends as they deal with this tragedy. The family has requested that their privacy be respected at this time.

12/07/13 20:25 – There has been a significant development in the Baljinder Sahota missing person investigation. This afternoon the 1994 Honda Civic that Baljinder Sahota was driving was located in a parking lot at Harbour Avenue and Bridge Street in Mission. Given the proximity of the vehicle to the Fraser River, there are concerns that Sahota could have ended up into the water.

The Mission RCMP has joined the investigation, which now involves both a land and water search. Police are appealing to anyone with information, including possible sightings of Sahota or the vehicle any time after 12:00 pm on July 11, to immediately contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or text 222973 (abbypd).


Baljinder Sahota Missing
12/07/13 12:23 – The Abbotsford Police Department is currently attempting to locate 41 year old Baljinder Sahota. He left his residence yesterday around noon and has not been in contact with any family or friends since.

Especially unusual is that he did not bring identification, money or belongings with him.

Sahota is 5’9” tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. (See photo) He was last observed wearing a white Puma jacket with black track pants and blue runners.

Sahota left home in a black, 1994, two door, Honda Civic bearing plate 344MFR.
