The Abbotsford School Board has approved a grant request in the amount of $2,000 per year for three years to the Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame.
A letter to the Board from the Sports Hall of Fame noted it is one area where the recognition of student achievement in sports is promoted, as each year outstanding athletes and coaches are recognized for their commitment to sports in Abbotsford.
The Board agreed the Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame does provide a benefit to the district’s student athletes and coaches.
