Bokenfohr Leaving As Head Coach Of Women’s Volleyball

By . The University of the Fraser Valley athletic department announced today that women’s volleyball head coach Dennis Bokenfohr’s contract will not be renewed for the 2015-16 season.
“We would like to thank Dennis for all he has done for women’s volleyball at UFV,” Cascades interim athletic director Chris Bertram said. “He’s been a tremendous asset to the department and achieved some great successes with the program. We wish him well in all his future endeavors.”

Bokenfohr, a former player with the UFV men’s volleyball program, recently completed his seventh season as head coach of the Cascades women’s team. He guided the squad to a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) bronze medal in 2011-12, and a PacWest conference title and a CCAA gold medal in 2012-13. The Cascades posted a 13-11 regular season record in 2014-15, good for fourth place in the PacWest, and were eliminated in the conference quarter-finals by the College of the Rockies Avalanche.

UFV will begin the search for a new women’s volleyball head coach immediately.
