Two local poets will be launching new books together at a double book launch in New Westminster on Aug 11th.

Shorelines by Poet Laureate, Candice James is a 98 page poetry book of Villanelles with each villanelle accompanied by a full page full colour artwork painting by a variety of artists including Valerie Barron-McRae, Janet Kvammen, Don Portelance, Doreen Bruce, Emily Cuthbertson, Candice James and the late Rex Howard.
The Broken Word by Royal City Poet, Alan Hill is a 71 page poetry book taking the reader through the ramifications of growing up in a family with a sibling suffering from schizophrenia.
Books will be offered for sale at 25% discount and the open mic following he features will run approximately 2 hours so bring your poems and strut your stuff!
