Elsay is ready to take the stage in week five of the Envision Coffee House Concert Series
On June 22 from 8-10 PM the Envision Coffee House Concert Series is proud to present Elsay at Clayburn Gourmet Gallery in Abbotsford.
Elsay is a spirited new Vancouver-based folk group which was the brainchild of Mike Meroniuk and Kirin Lamb, two Capilano University jazz students with a unique love for fiddle music. They started jamming together in the summer of 2012 as a flute and guitar duo. The pair discovered an incredible compatibility, and in searching for a fuller sound, recruited fiddler Kiel Strang, mandolin player Navid Goldrick, and tin whistle player Marco Del Rio. Thus was born a fresh new sound in Canadian folk, complete with rhythmic and energetic guitar, soaring whistle, and bright fiddling that will get your feet tapping.
