Extremely unseasonable conditions prompt cancellation of 2014/2015 season

Submitted.  Hemlock Resort is announcing today that it will be closing its doors for the remainder of the 2014/2015 Ski & Snowboard season. Due to warmer than average temperatures, heavy rain and negligible snow, the resort did not receive the necessary conditions to safely open and operate the ski hill. With no snowfall and over 200mm of rain in the immediate forecast and no sign of any snow in the foreseeable future, the management team at Hemlock Resort, along with the mountains’ ownership group, have come to the long considered and regretful conclusion that we must suspend operations for the balance of the season.

Hemlock Resort sincerely thanks its valued customers and our loyal, long-suffering resort team members for their patience and support during the past 8 weeks of waiting. In recognition of the faith that our 2014/2015 Seasons Pass holders  have placed in Hemlock Resort, the resort will be honouring all 2014/2015 Passes in the  2015/2016 Season regardless of any potential price increases. Customers may also choose, at their discretion prior to April 1st 2015, to receive a full refund for their 2014/2015 Seasons Pass. All 2014/2015 Seasons Pass holders wishing to exercise the refund option are asked to contact the mountain directly to make such arrangements.

Hemlock Resort is situated approximately 122 KM north/east of Vancouver in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, Canada. The resort is a destination for locals and international guests alike with activities for the families and thrill-seekers, including downhill skiing and snowboarding, a tube park, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
