Submitted. Local community arts, music and goods will be featured at this year’s 9TH annual Jam in Jubilee. Beginning on July 11th, join us each Thursday evening starting at 6 pm, for a night of great musical talent, art market, and more. Hosted in Abbotsford’s own Jubilee Park, this festival is organized by community volunteers, who generously dedicate their time to planning this summer event. With hand-picked musical artists, performance stage acts, and artisan vendors, Jam in Jubilee can be described as fabulous community fun while each evening holds entertainment for all ages.
With free admission, the summer series kicks off with an opening address and performance by our extraordinarily talented Mayor Bruce Banman.
More local highlights include Chilliwack’s Canadiana Roots band The Tractorgrease Folk, Vancouver’s beach rockers Satori Tide backed by Abbotsford’s local favourites Harma White and and the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra led by world-renowned conductor Calvin Dyck. Jam in Jubilee’s 2013 full line-up will be released June 13.
Jam in Jubilee is Abbotsford’s premier arts and musical festival, organized and presented by the Atangard Community Project for the past 4 years. This vibrant committee of volunteers aims to cultivate community enthusiasm and appreciation for the local arts, including musical talent, artisan businesses, and performance acts.
Drawing audiences of over 600 people to Jubilee Park each week, the festival endeavours to cultivate a sense of pride and joy in the downtown core of Abbotsford. Within the last 4 years, Jam in Jubilee is pleased to have hosted world renowned acts such as We are the City, Jordan Klassen, Teen Daze, and You Say Party.
Jam in Jubilee continues to provide this as a free event and proposes to create a festival that appeals to all ages. Throughout the summer, the festival features local hand-picked bands, an incredible artisan market open from 6 – 9 pm, a film-festival, beer garden, and more! Join us in celebrating Abbotsford’s talent and arts!
