Joel Willoughby At Mill Lake Park Saturday

By September 11, 2013Arts/Culture

Submitted. On September 14th from 6 to 8 PM, the Envision Concert in the Park Series is proud to present Joel Willoughby at Mill Lake Park (Kariton Art Gallery Stage, 2387 Ware Street) in Abbotsford.

Joel has absorbed plenty of culture in his life, growing up overseas has given him a unique world-view. With such varied life experiences, that well-traveled, world-weary soul can’t help but show up in Willoughby’s songs. Elements of indie-rock collide with brit-pop sensibilities to create a dreamy landscape…think folk-tinged pop akin to Josh Rouse and the artful, ambient touches of Death Cab For Cutie. “Willoughby’s expressive voice and intriguing artistic sensibilities ultimately make for a rich listening experience.” Christa Bannister (Freelance)
