Ledgeview Golf & Country Club’s 2013 Invitational tournament will be held Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1. The course
The City provided $125,000 in financial support to the club which had lost money for two years running and had run its line of credit to the maximum. Losses on the bar were one of the reasons given for the financial state of the club.
Former directors left the board of the Ledgeview Gold Society and, with the forgiveness or ren and a cash infusion the news board has attempted to bring the club back from the brink.
In June, Mayor Banman announced, “The Society has regained its financial footing, which is great news for everyone in Abbotsford.”
Ledgeview Society Board Vice President, Phil Dodd also announced, “Today, I’m pleased to announce that we have a strategic goal of showing an operating profit of $75,000 for the 2013 fiscal year – and I believe we are going to hit that goal.”
No mention has been made of paying taxpayers back for their bailout.
