Mark Hildebrand Takes Stage At House Of James

By November 15, 2013Arts/Culture

Submitted. On November 16 from 8 to 10 PM, the Envision Coffee House Concert Series is proud to present Mark Hildebrand at the House of James (2743 Emerson Street) in Abbotsford.

Born and raised in BC, in a home filled with classical piano, western guitar, and hymns of the church, Mark’s musical journey was, from the start, diverse. Upon discovering the guitar as a young teen, he continued to explore and experiment with many styles of sound. Even though he won the Royal Conservatory of Music silver medal while training in classical guitar, in the end, his heart was won by the blues.

In both writing and performance, Mark’s skill is obvious. Whether composing original pieces, performing live, or teaching music at a local college, his talent is in demand. He has most recently been a guitarist for Cowboys and Indians, Colin Bullock, and Lindsay May. Mark’s latest project included writing, producing and playing guitar, mandolin and lap steel on the One Acre album titled “Big Back Yard.”
