Submitted. Those masters of super-clean, super-funny comedy improv are back! Gallery 7 Theatre is thrilled to be hosting Panic Squad and Friends for a special, one-of-a-kind, not to be seen anywhere else in Canada performance that will have audiences in stitches the whole night long. Based out of the Pacific Northwest, Panic Squad is an international touring comedy improv team and will help launch Gallery 7 Theatre’s 2013/2014 Spice of Life! season.
“Panic Squad is always good for a great laugh,” says Gallery 7 Theatre’s Artistic Director, Ken Hildebrandt. “They’re super-funny and super-professional, and will keep people in stitches all night long. The best part? They specialize in clean comedy improv so even your kids and grandparents can come!”
For over 10 years, Panic Squad has successfully performed for hundreds of churches, conferences, businesses, and top Fortune 500 corporations across the United States and Canada. Their show is very similar to TV’s Whose Line is it Anyway? and Theatre Sports in that they create spontaneous comedy scenes based on audience suggestions and participation. While the team’s goal is to present high quality comedy, they also keep their shows all-inclusive and all-clean.
“What makes the Panic Squad and Friends show at Gallery 7 Theatre truly unique is that they invite a number of other highly talented improvisers to create an expanded show that doesn’t happen anywhere else in Canada except at Gallery 7,” explains Hildebrandt. “This allows the team to try out new games that have been workshopped but not yet performed in front of an audience, making the show even more dynamic and fun.”
At the helm of Panic Squad is founding member, Andrew Bright of Lynden, WA. He will be joined on stage for the Gallery 7 Theatre show by Elijah Tadema of Mt. Vernon, WA and Dan Warick of Lynden, WA. Other improvisers from through-out the Lower Mainland will also perform.
The 90-minute Panic Squad & Friends show runs one night only on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the MEI Theatre, 4081 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Tickets are $20.00 Adults, $18.00 Seniors & Students, $17.00 for groups (10+) and $12.00 for children (12 & under) and can be purchased through the House of James at 2743 Emerson Street, Abbotsford, by calling 604-852-3701 or by going online to www.gallery7theatre.com.

“Don’t miss out on this evening of fun,” concludes Hildebrandt. “It’ll be a side-splitting, tear-rolling night of hilarity that promises to be both super-clean and super-funny.”
