From Gail Gromaski on Facebook. What a great evening. I just witnessed one of my most favourite people of all time, Pat Christie, win the 2013 Myrtle Evertt Woman of the Year Award.
I was unfortunately at the front of the room where everyone could see me balling like a baby, but I think I got the best view of that magical moment when they called her name as the winner.
In the mere 1.5 years that I have known her, this woman has done so much good for my life, and I would not be where I am today in my career if it wasn’t for her. What an amazing asset to our City and the “newcomers” like me who come to live here. Love you, Pat!
